Essential cookies

Required for the site to function. These cookies remember your consent choice and, if you sign in, your session. They cannot be switched off. We do not use them for tracking or advertising.

Analytics cookies (opt-in)

With your consent we may set anonymous analytics cookies to help us understand how the calculators are used and where they need improvement. As of today no third-party analytics vendor is wired up; when one is added (for example PostHog), it will only run if you have opted in here.

Advertising cookies (opt-in)

With your consent, we use Google AdSense to show display ads on calculator pages and property comparison pages. AdSense sets cookies (__gads, __gpi, and others) that may be used for ad measurement and personalization. Paid users never see ads — when you are signed in we do not load the AdSense script at all.

How we ask for consent

On your first visit we show a banner with three options: Accept all, Reject all, and Customize. Choosing Customize lets you toggle analytics and advertising individually. Your choice is saved in a first-party cookie called loan-doodle-consent so we don't ask again on the next visit.

Your CCPA rights

California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for advertising purposes. The "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link in the footer maps to declining the Advertising category above. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated the same way: we automatically decline Advertising cookies for that browser.

Vendors that may set cookies with your consent

• Google AdSense / DoubleClick — display ads on free-tier pages (advertising category).
• Sentry — error tracking. Sentry does not set tracking cookies; events are scrubbed of personally-identifying fields per our internal denylist.
